VOLUNTEER

We are delighted to welcome volunteers to Moor Time from all walks of life. From professionals with a background in special needs, to young people who are looking for work experience, we have volunteer roles for all.

All our volunteers play a vital role in keeping Moor Time running. Our volunteer roles include:

  • Helping to organise activities (if you have an interest in arts, sports or music you'd like to share, we'd love to hear from you!)

  • Supporting keyworkers in caring for children

  • Preparing snacks and drinks

  • Taking photographs and blogging for our social media and marketing

  • Acting as role models and buddies to the young people

  • Tidying and cleaning up after activities

Volunteers need to be over 16, have two references, and be willing to have an enhanced DBS check if required. We welcome volunteer enquiries from people with additional needs.

We welcome volunteers to our U5s meet ups, Saturday sessions and holiday club sessions. Volunteers are invited to attend our staff and volunteer briefs and debriefs at the beginning and end of each session. You will be offered a half hour lunch break during a full day session and £5 expenses for each full day worked.

Several of our volunteers have moved on to paid work at Moor Time, and we are always happy to provide references for regular volunteers.

To apply, please email moortimeprojects@gmail.com
