JOBS
You'll need a sense of humour, kindness and bags of energy. But if you love working with young people with additional needs, and enjoy a working day packed with different activities, trips and experiences, we might have the perfect job for you!

A track record of working in a special school, respite centre or healthcare setting is a big plus, along with relevant qualifications in First Aid, Safeguarding and De-escalating Behaviours - although some training can be provided by us. Good communication, confidence and the ability to think on your feet are essentials; our working environment is often fast paced and being able to handle challenges while keeping calm and patient is important.

The young people we work with are at the heart of everything we do, so a child-centred and child-led approach is essential - as is a good understanding of different needs and abilities. All staff are expected to have a strong working knowledge of safeguarding and will be subject to full reference checks and an enhanced DBS check. We encourage all staff to go on the DBS Update Service and will pay the costs for this.

We welcome job applications and volunteer and work experience enquiries from people with disabilities. We are a Level 1 Disability Confident employer. This means we automatically offer interviews to qualified disabled applicants, have an inclusive recruitment process and will make reasonable adjustments to accommodate additional needs.

We are a Living Wage employer. We pay a mileage allowance for travel to and from work. We pay extra hours for all training we ask staff to undertake, and we include a free lunch for staff working a full day.
